JACK VAN DE VEN

Director

Jack graduated in 1981 from the Queensland Institute of Technology with a Diploma in Architecture.

After graduation Jack worked in the office of M.L. Conrad, which later became Conrad, Esler and Simpson Pty Ltd, designing principally Institutional Buildings.

He then joined Lynch and Blow as an architect in 1981, being principally involved in Commercial, Industrial and Fast Food developments until its cessation in late 1987, when, in partnership with Wayne Blow & Bernard Currey he established the practice of Wayne Blow & Partners Pty Ltd.

Following Wayne Blow’s retirement from the Practice in 2007, the Practice was rebranded as WBP Architects (Architecture & Interior Design) to retain a link to the heritage of the Practice.

Since 2007, now as sole Director of WBP Architects (Architecture & Interior Design) with Wayne and Bernard both having retired, Jack continues to develop the company in this period of high demand for architectural services, while facing market challenges and maintaining the company’s focus on cost effective solutions for all projects.
